Matterfile is early, and this page is written the way we'd want to read one: what we collect, what we do with it, and what we promise.
What we collect when you write to us
The chat and contact form collect what you offer: your name, your email, your message, and the page you wrote from. That's it — no trackers dressed up as features.
What we do with it
We use it to reply to you and to run Matterfile — nothing else. Your messages and details are never sold, never shared for marketing, and never used to train anyone's models. Writing to us doesn't put you on a list; there is no newsletter waiting at the end of this sentence.
What writing to us is — and isn't
A conversation with us is a conversation with a software company. It isn't legal advice, and it doesn't create an attorney–client relationship — Matterfile is a tool used by firms and their clients, not a law firm.
Keeping and deleting
We keep correspondence so the conversation can continue where it left off. If you want yours deleted, say so in the thread or email us — we'll do it.
The product itself
How client case material is handled inside Matterfile has its own, stricter story — that lives on the security & privilege page, and in the handling terms set with each firm.
